The Metropolitan Youth Foundation (MYF) of Central Ohio would like to partner with your organization in a fundraising campaign that will benefit both of our organizations.  MYF is hosting the 3rd Annual Live, Laugh & Run 5K Walk/Run For The Kids on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 9:00 AM, at Creekside Gahanna.   The 5K Walk/Run is MYF’s main fundraising event, with proceeds providing the main support of funding for MYF programming throughout the upcoming year. 
Overview

The fundraising campaign will consist of your organization soliciting donors to sponsor your children/students participation in the Live, Laugh & Run 5K (no cost for student fundraisers to walk/run in the 5k event).  The goal is for each child/student to raise a minimum of $100 in sponsorships/donations.  Each child/student will be provided with a pledge sheet so that they can record the donor contributions, along with a donor pledge information sheet to assist them in making their online payment (cash & check payment also available).   The child/student will record all pledge amounts (cash/check/online), take receipt of any cash or check payments and at the conclusion of the fundraising campaign, provide the packet to your organization’s group leader, who will provide all of the packets to a MYF representative.    
Proceeds

Upon receipt of your organization fundraising packets, the Metropolitan Youth Foundation (MYF) of Central Ohio will reconcile the pledge sheets to the cash, check, and online payments.  Your organization will be provided with a list of donors who have not made their online payment so that you can connect with them and arrange for them to finalize their donation.  Once the campaign cutoff deadline has been reached, all of the participating organization packets will be reconciled.  Your organization will receive 50% of all proceeds raised by your organization and MYF will make payment to your organization via business check by no later than October 31, 2018. 
Fundraising Period

The fundraising campaign begins on Friday, September 7, 2018, and ends on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.  Your organization will receive a list of “unpaid” pledges at the end of the campaign and have an opportunity to contact them for payment prior to your organization check disbursement.
